Answers and facilitator notes

Check the evidence.
Not the confidence.

This page contains answers. If you want a first attempt without an example, return to the worksheet before reading on. Once read, record answer/example help for any unfinished attempt.

Source A: reminder checks

Many wordings work. Check that the reminder is understandable and contains the required facts without adding unsupported claims. A matching phrase alone is not proof it is useful.

Source B: changed-task checks

Look for an actionable checklist, visible calculation and explicit unknown—not a copied reminder. If any are missing, keep the original attempt and write a correction. Reading these answers before finishing counts as example help.

For a friend, librarian or facilitator

  1. Use only voluntarily agreed practice. Explain that the person may stop or request help; this is not a test of intelligence. This pack is not permission to recruit participants.
  2. Offer paper or accessible text. Do not require an account, download a model or enter personal facts.
  3. Give Source A and its task. Let the person finish and explain their check. Avoid supplying the answer without recording that help.
  4. Give Source B without the first answer in view. Ask for the checklist, calculation and unknown. Do not confuse time spent or completion with understanding.
  5. Review together using these checks. Keep first attempt, assistance and correction distinct. Ask what was confusing and whether the output would help a fictional helper.
  6. If a later new task is voluntarily agreed, observe that separately. No follow-up means retention is unknown.

No collection required. The learner can keep their own sheets. Do not record identifying details, private work or quotes, or publish outcomes without separate appropriate consent and authorization. Do not count an AI or maintainer QA run as a beginner participant.

For a private learner-owned note, use: task attempted; check explained; support used; correction needed; unresolved question. “Completed” alone does not demonstrate transfer or real-world usefulness.
